Hi friends – If you’re around Falmouth this coming weekend, why not stop in to the public library for a FREE pamphlet stitch binding workshop, taught by yours truly. There will be two classes back to back (the same class, you don’t have to take both!) because my last classes have filled up instantly!
here’s a nice picture of pamphlet stitch books – we won’t be making these exact ones, ours will have a variety of covers from my collection of maps and papers. However, when you go home you’ll be able to make a little booklet out of just about anything!
Back by popular demand! Ruth Bleakley, bookbinder and paper maker will be returning to the Falmouth Public Library to run TWO workshops. Ruth will take the mystery out of hand-sewn books as she helps you to create three pamphlet stitched notebooks to take home using a variety of interesting decorative artist’s papers. No experience needed – easy for beginners, kids that can handle a needle and thread are welcome with their parents. Previous participants of Ruth’s classes are also welcome. All materials and tools will be provided, as well as an instruction sheet for you to take home. Both workshops will take place on Saturday, June 4th. Sign up for EITHER Noon – 1:30 OR 2:00 – 3:30. Thanks to the Trustees of the Falmouth Public Library for helping to bring these workshops to the library, and the Massachusetts Local Cultural Council.
Seating is limited, registration is essential.

Where is the Falmouth public library located?
Hi! It’s located in Falmouth, Massachusetts – but note that this post is from 2011 – you can see if I have any classes currently scheduled by clicking the link in the navigation bar (although right now I am not planning any)
Thanks. I am enamoured with bookbinding.
